Boonen positive #1 15/11/2007 Positive test ID 57
Boonen's first cocaine positive, returned at an out-of-competition test in Basel, went largely unreported outside Belgium after what turned out to be his third cocaine positive in 2009. No sanction was applied since the result was out of competition.
